Welcome to the Far North Adult Literacy
webpage! Far
North Adult Literacy is a member of Literacy Aotearoa. To
visit their official website please click
here.
We’re here to help anyone over 16 and no
longer in school who – for whatever reason - is wanting to
improve their reading, writing or number skills.
For anyone wanting this assistance, no matter
where in the Far North they are, chances are we can arrange for
one of our tutors to visit their homes for free, confidential one-to-one
tuition. If they would prefer to have tuition
elsewhere, that can probably be arranged too.
You may just be wanting
to acquire your Learner’s Licence or prepare a C.V. Or you may
want to up skill your literacy or numeracy to help you either
find a job or do your present job better. You may want to
concentrate on specific areas, such as spelling, or
report-writing, or letter writing…..Where appropriate, we may
also be able to combine improving your general literacy with
computer literacy also.
Possibly you are
retired, and now have the time to read to your mokopuna – you
just need a bit of help to do so. Or, you may just want to
improve your levels for your own sense of personal satisfaction and
self-confidence.

If you or someone you
know is wanting a bit of literacy or numeracy help, contact our
Far North Coordinator Frank Greenall at 09 408–1040 or
fnliteracy@xtra.co.nz . We’re bound to be able to
help!!
