The Kaitaia Sewing Programme is a practical four-week programme that will support participants in our community to develop sewing skills while creating useful items for themselves, whanau, and summer use. Sessions will be held weekly following on from completing four-weeks of the 'Tutu Threads - Upcycling Programme'.
Learning Outcomes:
• Use a sewing machine safely and confidently.
• Identify and use basic sewing tools, materials, and fabrics.
• Measure, cut, pin, stitch, and finish simple sewing projects.
• Follow simple patterns and instructions to complete up to three projects.
• Solve basic sewing problems and work positively with other learners.
