Description:

A one day wānanga where you will be introduced to the foundations of rāranga harakeke. Students will learn tikanga for harvesting, practice traditional and contemporary weaving techniques, and create items such as kono, kete, and korowai

Learners will:

• learn tikanga (protocol) around harvesting

• work with Harakeke (flax) and learn basic to advanced contemporary and traditional techniques of weaving

• be able to make and complete a variety of items from kona (basket) or kete (basket) to korowai.

Cost $20 per person
